{"id":991,"date":"2010-02-25T10:16:51","date_gmt":"2010-02-25T18:16:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/?p=991"},"modified":"2010-02-25T10:16:51","modified_gmt":"2010-02-25T18:16:51","slug":"pong-non-sufficit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/2010\/02\/25\/pong-non-sufficit\/","title":{"rendered":"Pong Non Sufficit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pong is not enough.<\/p>\n<p>The Atari Robot is bored.\u00c2\u00a0 Pong is undeniably a classic game, but it&#8217;s classic in the same way Shakespeare is.\u00c2\u00a0 Everyone looks at it and praises it, but they really want nothing to do with it because it&#8217;s so old and dull.\u00c2\u00a0 Back and forth, back and forth.\u00c2\u00a0 For hours.\u00c2\u00a0 Even to lose a game takes twenty minutes sometimes.\u00c2\u00a0 And it&#8217;s not really pushing anything to the limit.<\/p>\n<p>The Atari Robot wanted more out of life.<\/p>\n<p>At first, it talked at great length about a <a href=\"http:\/\/robotfindskitten.org\/\">kitten object<\/a> that it had fallen in love with and wanted to search the world for.\u00c2\u00a0 For a time, this plan was compelling, however, my apartment is strictly full of non-kitten objects, and acquiring a kitten-object for this endeavor would not have been wise.<\/p>\n<p>Atari Robot was sad.<\/p>\n<p>It looked around at other famous robots.\u00c2\u00a0 There&#8217;s the robots that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=GQ3AcPEPbH0\">build cars<\/a>, but there&#8217;s no romance or excitement in that.\u00c2\u00a0 Then it found what it wanted to be.\u00c2\u00a0 One of the most\u00c2\u00a0well known\u00c2\u00a0uses of robots in the world today is in bomb disposal.\u00c2\u00a0 Excitement and\u00c2\u00a0adventure, becoming a bomb disposal robot would be sure to make all the female Atari Robots fall for him.\u00c2\u00a0 However, my apartment is strictly full of non-explosive\u00c2\u00a0objects, and acquiring an explosive\u00c2\u00a0object for this endeavor would not have been wise.<\/p>\n<p>Atari Robot was sad.<\/p>\n<p>Then I realized that there was a way for Atari Robot to live its dream and keep all my fingers and not get arrested.\u00c2\u00a0 I have a bomb disposal simulator that Atari Robot could use.\u00c2\u00a0 Atari Robot could join the Bucket Brigade to stop the Mad Bomber!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/AtariRobotAndKaboom.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-992\" title=\"AtariRobotAndKaboom\" src=\"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/AtariRobotAndKaboom-276x299.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"276\" height=\"299\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/AtariRobotAndKaboom-276x299.jpg 276w, https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/AtariRobotAndKaboom-942x1024.jpg 942w, https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/AtariRobotAndKaboom.jpg 2017w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 276px) 100vw, 276px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Atari Robot was happy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pong is not enough.
