graphics, and catchy songs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/OhSnap_1306081104.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone Genesis is like Metroid with a tank and without any of the fun or awesomeness.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0Honestly,\u00c2\u00a0I couldn&#8217;t bring myself to play it long enough to really understand what it is.\u00c2\u00a0 It appears to be far more linear than its predecessor.\u00c2\u00a0 It also stole Rygar&#8217;s sunset.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/OhSnap_1321251104.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1626\" title=\"OhSnap_1321251104\" src=\"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/OhSnap_1321251104-300x240.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/OhSnap_1321251104-300x240.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/OhSnap_1321251104-1024x819.jpg controls, and there were far too many things that wanted to shoot me or jump on me or fall on my head.\u00c2\u00a0 There&#8217;s also inclines, which change your firing angle when you drive on them, making it very difficult to shoot what you want to shoot.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/OhSnap_1334201104.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1624\" title=\"OhSnap_1334201104\" src=\"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/OhSnap_1334201104-300x240.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/OhSnap_1334201104-300x240.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/OhSnap_1334201104-1024x819.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/OhSnap_1334201104.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/OhSnap_1325121104.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You can get out and walk around, just like in the original, however, in this one, some of the caves you end up in have large-sized side-scrolling regions.\u00c2\u00a0 In these regions, your character Jason handles like a lobotomized monkey.\u00c2\u00a0 You can kneel or shoot straight down, but you never do the one you want to do.\u00c2\u00a0 Not that it matters.\u00c2\u00a0 Shooting down shoots your feet, and kneeling shoots over the top of ground dwelling creatures.\u00c2\u00a0 You can&#8217;t shoot at an angle, and you can&#8217;t shoot down while jumping.\u00c2\u00a0 That means that you can&#8217;t actually shoot the space slug you meet up with early on until it stands up.\u00c2\u00a0 And did I mention that once you&#8217;re shooting, if you stop moving, you can&#8217;t start moving until you stop shooting?\u00c2\u00a0 That part is especially awesome in an action game where you have to both shoot and get out of the way&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Collision detection is awful, as well.\u00c2\u00a0 Many times, I stood and fired at an enemy, then got hurt several seconds later, even though neither me nor the enemy had moved a pixel.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/OhSnap_1322451104.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1620\" title=\"OhSnap_1322451104\" src=\"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/OhSnap_1322451104-300x240.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/OhSnap_1322451104-300x240.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/OhSnap_1322451104-1024x819.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/OhSnap_1322451104.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s a pause screen that I&#8217;m sure would be useful, if I understood it at all.\u00c2\u00a0 Unfortunately, it&#8217;s not mentioned in the manual.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/OhSnap_1340371104.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1625\" title=\"OhSnap_1340371104\" src=\"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/OhSnap_1340371104-300x240.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\"
