{"id":1512,"date":"2010-09-05T20:36:48","date_gmt":"2010-09-06T03:36:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/?p=1512"},"modified":"2010-09-05T20:36:48","modified_gmt":"2010-09-06T03:36:48","slug":"merge-error","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mathpirate.net\/log\/2010\/09\/05\/merge-error\/","title":{"rendered":"Merge Error"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There seems to be another problem with the merging algorithm.\u00c2\u00a0 Now it&#8217;s corrupting the source indexers, causing some of the merged content to end up in the source as well as causing an abnormal number of terminations.\u00c2\u00a0 Gotta fix that before proceding.<\/p>\n<p>Turns out that I was simply sharing the\u00c2\u00a0suffix lists of the first indexer\u00c2\u00a0that had a particular prefix with the merged content.\u00c2\u00a0 The merged content would be fine, but that source indexer would have extra, random terms thrown in.\u00c2\u00a0 Those random terms, since they weren&#8217;t in the original, would cause a lookup error when trying to look up possible suffixes by prefix.\u00c2\u00a0 That lookup error would cause an early termination.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, bad things happen.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, should be fixed now.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There seems to be another problem with the merging algorithm.\u00c2\u00a0 Now it&#8217;s corrupting the source indexers, causing some of the merged content to end up in the source as well as causing an abnormal number of terminations.\u00c2\u00a0 Gotta fix that before proceding.
